Principle of prothrombin time detector

The principle of the prothrombin time detector is mainly based on the ratio of the prothrombin time (PT) in the sample to be tested and the PT of the standard prothrombin time control reagent, that is, the PT value, to judge the blood coagulation situation. Specifically, the prothrombin time detector judges the blood coagulation situation by detecting the level of fibrinogen (FIB) in the blood . FIB is a coagulation factor in plasma. Its increased content will lead to faster blood coagulation. Therefore, FIB can be used as an important indicator to judge the risk of thrombosis.

The normal value range of prothrombin time (PT) is 11-14 seconds, which is affected by many factors, such as age, gender, genetic factors, vascular diseases, blood diseases, etc. The prothrombin time detector can obtain the PT value of the sample being tested by comparing the PT of the standard prothrombin time control reagent, thereby judging the blood coagulation status.
