Classification of large capacity high speed desktop centrifuge

Large-capacity high-speed desktop centrifuges are classified differently according to different needs. The following are three common classification methods:

1. According to the design of the rotor, it can be divided into two categories: angle rotor and balanced rotor. Among them, the angle rotor includes D-shaped rotor, L-shaped rotor, elbow rotor, etc. The L-shaped rotor is also called a single rotor, which can rotate 360 degrees and can be used for centrifugation of tissues, cells, and biochemical test tubes; the D-shaped rotor is a multi-tube rotor and can be used in the multi-tube centrifuge of biochemistry and immunology. Balanced rotors include high-speed rotors, low-speed rotors, and ultra-speed rotors, which can be used for sample separation in biology, chemistry, medicine, physics, analytical chemistry, bioengineering and other disciplines.
2. According to the purpose of use and rotor structure, it can be divided into preparative centrifuges, speed-controlled centrifuges, fully automatic biochemical analysis centrifuges and ultracentrifuges. Preparative centrifuges can perform long-term high-speed centrifugation. There are many types of rotors, complex structures, and high prices, but the operation is relatively simple and suitable for large-scale sample centrifugation. Speed-controlled centrifuges can be programmed and stirred by a microcomputer, and are equipped with automatic measuring instruments such as speed and temperature. The types of rotors are relatively single, which is suitable for pilot production. The fully automatic biochemical analysis centrifuge uses an electric door and is equipped with a conversion mechanism for rotor replacement and test tube racks, which is suitable for use in large scientific research laboratories. The ultracentrifuge can work at ultra-high speeds, and the working part of the rotor can be separated from the shaft, which is suitable for subcellular genomics research.
3. According to the structural type, it can be divided into two types: floor-standing type and table-top type. Floor-standing type centrifuges have independent bases, are larger in size, and have a complex overall structure. They usually need to be connected to a power source and various pipes when in use, so the overall weight is relatively large. They are generally produced by professional manufacturers. Table-top centrifuges are usually combined with computer control panels to realize computer program control operations. The overall structure is relatively simple and easy to move, so they are widely used.
