Function and principle of large capacity high speed desktop centrifuge
Large-capacity high-speed desktop centrifuges mainly use the centrifugal force generated by high-speed rotation to separate different particles or compounds in the sample. Its working principle is: when the sample is loaded into the centrifuge tube and rotated, the liquid in the tube will generate centrifugal force due to the centrifugal force. According to F=m*r*$\omega^{2}$, when the rotation speed changes, the centrifugal force generated will also change. Therefore, the size of the centrifugal force can be controlled by changing the rotation speed, thereby achieving sample separation.
When the centrifuge rotates, the liquid in the centrifuge tube is subjected to centrifugal force and is thrown toward the tube wall. In the centrifuge tube, the mass, shape, size and other factors of different substances will affect the centrifugal force they are subjected to. Therefore, by controlling the speed of the centrifuge and the size of the centrifugal force, different substances can be separated.
In a centrifuge, the centrifuge tube is usually placed in the drum and fixed to the drum wall. The rotation speed of the drum can be controlled by a motor and a frequency converter. The control system of the centrifuge will calculate the required speed and centrifugal force according to factors such as the mass and size of the material to be separated, and control the rotation speed and centrifugal force of the drum to achieve sample separation.
